One Pinned And Three Others Injured In Route 340 Crash

At approx. 0620 hours, Co's 3 and 20 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with rollover in the area of Route 340 EBL, East of Mt. Zion Road. Co.3 units arrived, confirmed location and reported one pinned in vehicle, C3-2 arrived and established " Route 340 Command". Command reported a total of four patients, two trauma and two BLS, requesting aviation for the pinned patient. RS20, RS2 and Engine 31 crew's worked on freeing the pinned patient as other units worked on the additional patients for transport. The extrication was completed in approx. 15 minutes and the patient was transported by Trooper 3 to Baltimore Shock Trauma, while the other patients were transported by ground to area hospitals, one patient was transported by ground to Washington County Trauma Center for treatment. Command was terminated and units were placed in service, scene turned over to MSP for investigation.
